ANSA Coatings Limited (ACL), the most diversified manufacturer and supplier of paint and coatings in the Caribbean recently launched their first of a series of Sissons Colour Shops. The new store is now open to the public and situated at #1 Observatory Road, Wildey, St. Michael, Barbados.

Mr. Roger Roach, Managing Director of ANSA Coatings said, “We are delighted to bring ANSA Coatings to Barbados and will be offering franchising opportunities to entrepreneurs who are interested in opening other Sissons Outlets across the island. We are ISO 9000:2008 certified and all our water based coatings have extremely low Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs).

One of the products we are most excited to launch in Barbados is the new odourless Aquabase Plus motor paint. This product will enable small body shops which are set up in residential areas, to run environmentally friendly operations when painting vehicles, knowing they are no longer producing an odour which may create discomfort in their community.”

Also, speaking at the launch was Ms Sonia Foster, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Industry, International Business, Commerce and Small Business Development, who stated that the investment from ACL represented the company’s confidence in the Barbados economy and sent a message that, “Barbados is indeed open for business”.

Mr Nicholas Mouttet, President and CEO of ANSA McAL Barbados Ltd, reiterated the Group’s commitment in building the economy in Barbados.

“Since the investment in Standard Distributors in Barbados about 55 years ago by the ANSA McAL Group, the company continues to invest heavily here. In fact, it is our second largest geography in terms of our investment in the region and is extremely important to us. We have been able to open three retail stores in Barbados in the last 20 months, despite challenging times”. Mr Mouttet went on to state that, “Four months ago, we opened up another Standard Store in Bridgetown in Norman Centre and we will continue to look for opportunities to invest in Barbados.”

The intension of ANSA Coatings Ltd is to bring a new dimension of coatings products and services to the buoyant commercial area of Wildey, Barbados. With a fan deck of over 1200 colours to choose from and their new tropical modern colour collection of refined elegance, youthful vibes and retro mix, ACL can match any colour from any surface.

Sissons have been manufacturing and distributing premium paint and coatings in the Caribbean since 1956. Coatings are formulated and tested to withstand the rigors and ravages of tropical weather.

In 2008, Sissons Paints was acquired by the ANSA McAL Group and was integrated with Penta Paints in 2012 to form ANSA Coatings Ltd.
