As Managing Director of ANSA Polymer Limited, Mr. Derek De Caires will be responsible for overseeing the company’s operations, which has expanded its business lines as the leading supplier of premium flexible and rigid plastic packaging.  He brings to the company a wealth of leadership experience in the local manufacturing industry with an impressive career that spans over two decades at the senior management level.

Mr. De Caires began his distinguished career as Operations Manager in 1985 at ANSA McAL Chemicals Limited. For the next ten years he was responsible for all plant operations including Production, Maintenance, Safety and Quality.   In 1999, he was appointed Managing Director and over the last seven years he has successfully expanded the Company’s manufacturing and packaging operations.He his successful management philosophy of ‘team working for success’ collectively working towards business objectives, to ensure both customer and employee satisfaction.

Mr. Andy Mahadeo has been appointed as the Managing Director of ANSA McAL Chemicals Limited. He succeeds Mr. Derek De Caires. Mr. Mahadeo began his prominent career in 1999 as Operations Manager at ANSA McAL Chemicals Limited. As a member of the company’s executive management team, he was responsible for the management of the Operations Division, including Production, Packaging, Maintenance & Engineering, Lab and Quality Assurance and H.S.E. Departments.  During his tenure, his extensive experience in project management and engineering significantly contributed to the company’s improved production schedules and operating capacity.

A graduate of Naparima College, he has a first degree in mechanical engineering from the University of the West Indies and is currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration from the Heriot-Watt University. Mr. Mahadeo is also the Valedictorian graduate of the inaugural ANSA McAL/ UWI Leadership Development Programme.
