Junior Accountant
ANSA Polymer, a division of ANSA Mc AL Limited, located in Arima, is the leading supplier of premium packaging with high quality graphics, garbage bags, industrial films and injected moulded crates and buckets is seeking qualified persons to fill the following vacancy.
The Junior Accountant is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, and to assist in preparing accurate and timely financial reports and statements while ensuring appropriate accounting control procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Effectively and accurately manages the company’s fixed asset register ensuring adherence to Group and International Financial Reporting Standards.
Prepares daily processing of financial transactions to ensure that the company’s financial records are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner.
Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports
Assist with the management of the accounts receivable and the accounts payable portfolios.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
Assist with payroll administration
Assist with preparation and coordination of internal and external audit process
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
A professional accounting qualification from a recognized institution.
At least four (4) years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Working experience with a Financial Accounting package would be an asset.
And / Or two (2) years working experience in the same of similar position.
A combination of relevant qualifications and experience will be considered.
