The Group IT Manager will be a member of the Senior Management Team and will be required to contribute strategically to the achievement of the Goals and Objectives of the Group through maintaining a hands-on involvement in ensuring that key projects and initiatives are completed on-time and within budget. Critical to this role is the need to develop positive business relationships with the Group’s Executive Management Team and Senior Management at the various subsidiaries. A minimum of five (5) years experience is required in a Senior IT technical leadership position. The incumbent must possess the ability to quickly acquire an intimate knowledge of the Group’s IT environment, the changes that will affect a broad range of open and proprietary development environments, operating systems, databases, web server and application server platforms covering a variety of development environments inclusive of-Cobol, RPG/400, C++: Web services: Java, .NET, Web Sphere: Operating Systems-OS/400, Linux, Unix, Windows Server: databases-MS SQL Server, Sybase, DB/2, Informix, MS Access.
