On Tuesday 11th November, 2008, Dr. Anthony N. Sabga added yet another accolade to his already illustrious business history. Dr. Sabga was a recipient of the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce Business Hall of Fame Award.  In accepting his award, Dr. Sabga sought to review a brief history of Industrialization in Trinidad and Tobago, and to provide his audience with a peek into the success of the ANSA McAL Group of companies. Dr. Sabga recognized and thanked the Chamber for its contribution to the development of this country’s industrial and commercial base, and for the continued encouragement of significant intellectual conversations.

Dr. Sabga also recognized and thanked the ANSA McAL Group of companies, stating that the growth and development of the Group was keenly linked to its people. He noted that the responsibility of the business community was to ensure that people were motivated to perform at the highest levels of efficiency, whilst delivering quality products and services. In closing, Dr. Sabga noted that the man who generally says that something cannot be done is generally interrupted by someone doing it.  Also inducted into the Hall of Fame was the late English- born oil pioneer, Randolf Rust, who died in 1930. His award was accepted by National Museum curator, Val Lewis.
