At approximately 8.00 a.m. this morning, whilst opening a container of imported glass at its compound in Longdenville, Chaguanas, ABS employees discovered a suspicious package.

Consistent with company protocol and precautionary procedures, the area was sealed off and Customs and Police, including the Chaguanas Police Station were notified by ABS officials. Both Customs and Police responded immediately and conducted various tests.

Following forensic testing conducted by Customs and Police, all field tests prove that the package did not contain any narcotic substances.

ABS officials will continue to provide full cooperation to Customs and Police.
