FUTURE GROWTH – MERGING OF OUR BARBADOS DISTRIBUTION POWER HOUSES
THE CREATION OF BRYDEN STOKES
“Future Growth” is the focus for Bryden Stokes, the new entity from the merger of ANSA McAL’s three distribution companies – Brydens Distribution, Stokes and Bynoe, and A&R Tempro. The heritage of these companies is long and rich; both Brydens and Stokes & Bynoe were founded in Barbados in 1898.
A powerful management team spearheaded by a dynamic CEO, Geoffrey Evelyn, who is very experienced in the business, has been set in place to achieve this strategic vision.
Bryden Stokes is one of the largest and most diverse wholesale distributors in Barbados. The company imports a vast assortment of goods ranging from medical supplies, to, household products and to vintage wines, purchased from a global network of suppliers including sources as far as New Zealand, Colombia, Mexico and Turkey. They continue to cast their nets wider, to meet the increasingly sophisticated needs of local consumers at the most competitive price. They also provide a critical outlet for local and regionally manufactured products.
The new structure focuses on bringing an unparalleled degree of experience and expertise to the key markets which they operate, comprising Health & Wellness, Food & Consumer, Brewery, Wine and Spirits. Their route to market offers a dedicated service to each channel of business, recognizing the needs and requirements of a diverse customer base, including separate teams for the hotel and restaurant industry, supermarkets, convenience stores, minimarts, pharmacies and health care institutions, garages and a network of wholesalers and trucks servicing hundreds of small shops and bars across Barbados.
