Carib Glassworks Limited was presented with its second consecutive award for best “Environmental Management” practices by the Quarry Association of Trinidad and Tobago at its Annual Dinner and Awards Ceremony held at the Centre of Excellence in Macoya on the December 15th 2012. The President of the Quarry Association, Mr. Ramdeo Persad highly commended Carib Glassworks for their exceptional efforts at ensuring minimal impact to the environment from their mining activities at the Matura based Sand Plant. He further reiterated that all members of the Quarry Association should focus on making environmental management a key aspect of their business.  The ceremony also featured guest speakers Senator the Honourable Kevin C. Ramnarine, Minister of Energy and Energy Affairs and Senator the Honourable Larry Howai, Minister of Finance and the Economy.
