Penta Paints, a subsidiary of the ANSA McAL Group of Companies, signed a Distribution Agreement at the end of 2010, with International Paint LLC, a subsidiary of Akzo Nobel, the largest paint manufacturer in the world, which allows them to distribute and sell the International Brand of Protective and Marine Coatings in Trinidad and Tobago. Penta’s experience with Protective Coatings has, up to now, been primarily with the Devoe Brand, which is also owned by Akzo Nobel, and the International Brand will now allow them to access additional markets in the Energy Sector, particularly offshore, and the Commercial Marine Sector.

International Paints is the world leader in Protective and Marine Coatings.  Their products are carried or specified on the great majority of new Industrial Plants, and on over 60% of all commercial ocean-going vessels, worldwide. The brand has been available in Trinidad and Tobago for over 20 years, and has established an enviable reputation for specialized high-performance coatings of the highest integrity and performance, well known to engineers and corrosion protection professionals alike.

Penta Paints has appointed Integra Protective Coatings Ltd as their sub-distributor for International Paints in Trinidad and Tobago, based on their tremendously long experience with the brand and their ability to service a wide portfolio of Industrial Customers in the Energy and Marine Sectors. The Integra Team, headed by Managing Director, Lisa Dowden, an industry professional for over 22 years, will continue to offer superior commercial and technical support to Industrial Facility Owners and Painting Contractors.  They will be supported by Mr Roger Gillezeau, Consultant, Penta Paints and Penta’s Industrial Paints Marketing Department including International Paints’ Latin America and Caribbean Technical Sales Office.

An official re-launch of the Brand is planned for March 2011.
