      ANSA McAL’s 2015 Long Service & Sector Performer Awards

      Over three hundred and twenty employees of the ANSA McAL Group were honoured at company’s Long Service and Sector Performer Awards ceremony held at Radisson Hotel, Trinidad on Wednesday 15th July 2015. This year Group celebrated over eight thousand, seven hundred and sixty years of collective service. The Group’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. A. Norman Sabga paid tribute to awardees celebrating 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service and called on them to contribute meaningfully in their workplace, to be leaders in their communities and ambassadors of the conglomerate. Group HR Director, Ms. Teresa White spoke about the collective achievement of the milestones attained.

      The Anthony N. Sabga Caribbean Awards for Excellence 2015

      The 2015 Anthony N. Sabga Caribbean Awards for Excellence took place at the Hilton Trinidad and Conference Centre, St. Ann’s, Port of Spain on Saturday 11th April, 2015. The Laureates for 2015 are: Dr. Paloma Mohamed Martin (Guyana) in the Arts & Letters category, Mr. Herbert Samuel (St. Vincent & The Grenadines) in the Entrepreneurship category, Professor Suresh S. Narine (Guyana) in the Science & Technology category held jointly with Professor Patrick Hosein (Trinidad & Tobago). The Anthony N. Sabga Caribbean Awards for Excellence Awards Ceremony will now be held every two years going forward, and as of 2015 has seen the introduction of the Entrepreneurship category bringing to four the number of award categories.

      The ANSA McAL Champions Program 2015

      The ANSA McAL’s Champions Development Programme is an initiative of the Group HR Department and is the first long-term internship programme for the Group. These successful applicants will now be immersed in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment at various subsidiaries. Today, the final eight Champions will now set out to begin their journey and make their mark from the earliest stages of employment within the ANSA McAL Group. The ANSA McAL Group has always maintained that the strength of the Group resides in our people. These young Champions have invested in their education and now they are investing their future in the leading conglomerate in the Caribbean.

      ANSA Technologies dredging project in Antigua and Barbuda

      ANSA Technologies Ltd, a subsidiary of the ANSA McAL Group of Companies was recently awarded a major maintenance dredging contract with the Port of Antigua and Barbuda. The company executed this project with Boskalis, a leading global maritime services company operating in the dredging and inland infra and off-shore energy and R S Hydrographic Services, who specializes in marine and hydrographic surveying. Part of the scope of works included maintenance dredging in St John’s Harbor, including the ‘approach channel’ and the ‘turning basin’ to ensure the safe navigation of vessels in and out of the port.
