TELEMARKETER


 


Job Summary


To make telephone contact with existing and potential customers in order to sell business equipment systems and supplies in required volumes to meet or exceed agreed personal quota and income requirements towards the achievement of the Division’s overall targets.


 


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES




  1. To make telephone contacts on a daily basis with at least twenty (20) customers in order to achieve monthly personal quota.



    • Telephone existing customers on their equipment and supplies needs


    • Record contacts made on a daily basis and call back dates


    • Solicit information regarding possible referrals


    • Provide the Sales Supervisor with Call Activity Report on a daily basis


    • To immediately inform the Sales Supervisor of large equipment/systems inquiries


  2. To prepare and forward quotations to customers on a timely basis.



    • Ensure quotations are sent out no later than two (2) hours after communication with the customer


    • Call back customer next day to ensure quotation received and to encourage a closed sale


    • To monitor and advise Sales Supervisor when stock levels are running low in relation to sales and inquiries


  3. To prepare Sales Orders (SOs) and forward for approval immediately upon receipt of Purchase Orders (POs).



    • Ensure all prices quoted on Sales Order are correct


    • Ensure that the SO is properly authorized before submitting to Billing Clerk


    • Ensure that there is sufficient stocks before preparation of SO


    • Ensure that the aged analysis on the SO is properly filled out and accurate


  4. To assist in the Showroom as and when required.



    • If called upon to assist customers in the Show Room


    • If called upon to assist in the Show Room on Saturday openings


  5. To have a sound product knowledge of all product lines and consumables in the Office Equipment Division.



    • Keep abreast of all existing and new product lines


    • Understand the relationships between equipment and consumables needs


  6. To follow the directives of Management relating to overall telemarketing requirements.



    • Attend all sales meeting


  7. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by Management.


Minimum Requirements




  • Five (5) CXC/O’ Level passes including English and Mathematics


  • One (1) year sales experience


  • Knowledgeable in ICT solutions


  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel


  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
