Sales Manager – Advertising

 


 


 SALES MANAGER ADVERTISING



The ideal candidate is responsible for the growth and development of the advertising sales team and revenue at Guardian Media Limited.   The incumbent will be responsible for developing sales plans, generating new clients, creating presentations and proposals to clients, working with the advertising department to develop advertising packages to meet customer budget, needs and expectations, meeting sales quotas by bringing in new business clients and maintaining relationships with existing clients.


 


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities




  • Develop creative packages that are innovative and effective for clients.


  • Develop new and incremental business by seeking out new clients, determining needs, and proposing appropriate programs to them.


  • Prospect and develop key advertising relationships with companies directly and through ad agencies.


  • Communicate account status effectively across all levels of organization and gain support from the various groups to resolve situations when necessary.


  • Close new and renewal business at a rate equal to or above internal goals.


  • Lead face to face meetings with hotels and businesses to initiate sales and new revenue projects.


  • Maintain ongoing communication with key stakeholders to assure execution of deliverables and maximum sales program optimization.


  • Develop and coach sales team to move the sales process towards defined objectives in a timely manner.

Critical:




  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, finance, advertising, marketing, economics, or a related discipline.


  • 3-5 years industry experience is preferred.


  • 2 years sales management experience required.


  • Pro-active and able to use their own initiative.


  • Must have a clear drive for achievement, goal oriented and results driven.

Important:




  • Attention to details and strong numeric skills.


  • Ability to understand and follow strategies and contribute to their development.


  • Proficient in MS Office.


  • Ability to lead and manage a team.
